Two and a half more feet of fresh powder since yesterday!!...making for a total of 4 ft. in the past 5 days not to mention there is a 100% chance of more snow this coming weekend with 2-3 more ft. of accumulation expected. Conditions are absolutely incredible with endless oppurtunities for different snowsport recreation. Monday I did some great runs on the magnificent old growth Bardini's and the always awesome Tele Bowls. The past few days my friends and I have been doing several laps on the Earthquake Dome looking for new terrain that includes mini super spines, steep chutes, cornices, cliff drops, pillows, tree rides and plenty of other unique organic features to shred...today the pow was definitely waist deep in the minimal wind zone we like to call the shire. Mammoth Mountain has a snowpack base depth of 9-13 ft and all parks/pipes are in full operation with new obstacles added almost daily by the Unbound crew. The corduroy has been groomed to perfection everyday thanks to the terrific work of the snowcat team. Make sure to stop in the shop and get the best selection of snowboard decks while they are on sale...also kid's outerwear is 20% off.
