Fresh snow in the forecast for this coming weekend!...after a great week of beautiful skies and sunshine we're ready for some more powder riding!...all of the parks are in excellent shape and the halfpipes are cut to perfection...my bro Mark that works here at the shop learned a double cork front 1080 this week and he claims it was easy because of the terrific work of the unbound crew on the big middle jump in Main Park... over a 100 runs of quality corduroy were groomed last night covering a 1000+ acres...the base depth of snowpack is measuring 7.5 ft. to 11.5 ft. on average...last weekend my good buddies Steve Klassen, Brian Sizer and Nik Walsh hooked up with Jeremy Jones(big mountain) over @ the Dana Plateau in Lee Vining Canyon to do some winter camping and get some deeper descents...I also did some backcountry splitboarding on some mellow north facing gullies that still had incredible powder...another wonderful week here in the High Sierra...come on up and enjoy! peace Al-X
